Allevyn Life Non-Bordered is a composite hydrocellular foam dressing containing a hyper-absorbent lock away core designed for managing a broad range of chronic or acute exudative wounds, shallow or granulating wounds and fully or partially thick wounds such as pressure ulcers, diabetic foot ulcers, leg ulcers, malignant wounds, surgical wounds, infected wounds, first and second degree burns, skin tears, fungating ulcers and donor sites.

Allevyn Life Non-Bordered Dressing can be checked daily and reapplied as part of a complete pressure ulcer prevention protocol. In order to manage wounds, you can inspect and reapply the dressing , however, you should keep it in place to protect the wound. If Allevyn Life Non-Bordered is used on infected wounds, the infection must be inspected and treated as per local clinical protocol. Depending on the exudate level, these dressings can stay in place for up to seven days.
Instructions to Use
First, you must cleanse your wound following normal procedures. Choose the most appropriate size suiting you the best. Remove the excess moisture, prepare and clean the surrounding skin. Clip any excess hair for ensuring close approximation to the wound. Remove the projector material from Allevyn Life Non-Bordered using aseptic technique. Then, you should apply the adherent side to the wound and ensure a good full contact. Remember to secure the dressing using a dressing retention sheet, tape or bandage. Allevyn Life Non-Bordered Dressing can not be used with oxidizing agents including hypochlorite solutions or hydrogen peroxide. Because these can break down the absorbent polyurethane component of the dressing. If sensitization or reddening happens to you, stop using the dressing.
