On contact with fluids, the hydrocolloid particles form a gel, which forms an amphiphilic (hydrophilic-lipophilic) layer with the petroleum jelly.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eAdherence to the wound is largely prevented, wound healing is supported and atraumatic dressing changes are facilitated. Lomatuell Pro can be used in combination with negative pressure therapy (superficial wounds) as a separating layer* and it can be used in all exudation phases.
