Select an appropriate dressing size considering the following: For low exuding\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cspan\u003ewounds, the dressing should cover the surrounding skin by at least 1 cm for small\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cspan\u003ewounds and at least 3 cm for large wounds. For moderately to highly exuding wounds,\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cspan\u003eregardless of wound size, the dressing should cover the surrounding skin by at least\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cspan\u003e5 cm. The dressing may be cut to suit various wound shapes and locations.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cspan\u003e4. Remove the first release film and apply the adherent side to the wound.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cspan\u003e5. Remove the remaining release film and smooth down the dressing on the skin.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cspan\u003eDo not stretch the dressing.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cspan\u003e6. When necessary, fixate the dressing with a bandage or other fixation.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cspan\u003eThe dressing change interval may be several days.
