The Freka® Trelumina ENFit is a triple-lumen polyurethane feeding tube designed for intestinal enteral feeding and gastric decompression/drainage. It provides simultaneous access to the intestinal and gastric routes, making it suitable for specific enteral feeding applications in critically ill patients.

The tube incorporates a CH/FR 9 intestinal feeding lumen with an ENFit™ connector and a CH/FR 16 gastric aspiration lumen. The intestinal feeding lumen is 150 cm long, while the gastric aspiration lumen measures 95 cm. A separate gastric ventilation lumen provides automatic pressure regulation during gastric decompression.

The Freka® Trelumina is manufactured from tissue-compatible polyurethane and features a radio-opaque strip along the tube length for radiological visibility. The feeding lumen has a flexible olive tip with one distal and two lateral outlet ports, while the gastric aspiration lumen features five large lateral outlet ports to facilitate gastric drainage.

The system is supplied with a 150 cm Teflon-coated guidewire and features interval markings along the tube to assist with positioning. The product is designed for transnasal placement and may remain in place for up to 4 weeks with appropriate feeding tube and nasal care. If enteral feeding is required for longer periods, Fresenius Kabi recommends considering percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy (PEG) placement.
