Agency Managed / NDIA Managed

Create or log in to your Medisa account, add the required products to cart and choose “NDIS Participants Only” at checkout. Our team will contact you for any additional information and process the order through the applicable NDIS payment pathway.

Agency Managed steps

Plan Managed

Add products to cart and choose “NDIS Participants Only” at checkout. Include your Plan Manager’s payment email in the order comments so our team can send the invoice and proceed after payment or approval.

Plan Managed steps

Self Managed

Place and pay for your order through the Medisa online store. You can then use the invoice and order documentation to make your own reimbursement claim through the NDIS.

NDIS overview

What is the National Disability Insurance Scheme?

The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) provides eligible Australians with individual funding for disability-related supports. A participant’s NDIS plan is based on their circumstances, goals and approved support needs.

Depending on how the plan is managed, participants may purchase approved supports directly, work through a Plan Manager, or have relevant payments managed through the NDIA.

Medisa supplies medical products and consumables and supports participants and authorised representatives with ordering, quotations, invoicing and repeat supply arrangements.

NDIS funding may cover reasonable and necessary supports connected to a participant’s disability and approved plan goals. Funding decisions and eligible items depend on the individual plan.

Is Medisa a registered NDIS provider?
Yes. Medisa is a registered NDIS provider and also supplies medical products and consumables to participants, families, Support Coordinators and Plan Managers.
Do I need a Medisa account to place an NDIS order?
Creating an account is recommended because it makes it easier to provide account information, view previous purchases and place future orders. The required ordering and payment steps depend on how your plan is managed.
Can a Support Coordinator refer a participant?
Yes. Support Coordinators can use Medisa’s participant referral pathway to provide relevant participant, Plan Manager and product requirement information. Medisa will then follow up regarding the next steps.
Can Medisa arrange repeat or scheduled supplies?
Yes. Repeat supply arrangements are available for suitable ongoing consumable requirements. Product quantities, delivery timing and payment arrangements should be confirmed with the Medisa NDIS team.
Can Medisa prepare an NDIS quote?
Yes. Participants, authorised representatives, Support Coordinators and Plan Managers can request a quote by providing product details, quantities and relevant participant information.
Does Medisa decide whether an item is funded by the NDIS?
No. Funding and eligibility depend on the participant’s approved NDIS plan and applicable NDIS requirements. Medisa can provide product and order information, but funding approval remains subject to the relevant NDIS or plan-management process.
