Transition of Ensure Plus 200 mL Tetra Pak to 200 mL Bottle (August 2024)
Abbott Nutrition is excited to announce the transition of Ensure Plus from the 200 mL Tetra Pak to the 200 mL Bottle, starting in August 2024. Ensure Plus is a complete, balanced oral nutritional supplement designed for the dietary management of individuals with, or at risk of, disease-related malnutrition.
As part of this transition, the following changes will take place:
- New Bottle Design:
- Ensure Plus will now be available in an easy-to-open bottle with a twist cap. This design is convenient for travel, on-the-go use, and tube feeding.
- Recyclable Packaging:
- The bottle and cap are recyclable, allowing for easy disposal in local recycling bins (please check local recycling guidelines).
- Plastic Straw-Free:
- In line with Abbott’s commitment to sustainability, Ensure Plus bottles will no longer include plastic straws. This change is estimated to save over 1000 kg of plastic annually.
- Increased Carton Size:
- Ensure Plus will be available in cartons of 30 units, an increase from the previous 27 units.
- Flavor Consistency:
- The formulation, flavors, and taste of Ensure Plus will remain consistent across the existing four variants: Chocolate, Fruits of the Forest, Vanilla, and Banana.
