Oral Mucositis is inflammation of the lining of the mouth and is often linked with discomfort and pain, especially when eating and swallowing.1 It is one of the most common adverse effects of radiation and chemotherapy in patients undergoing treatment for cancer.2
Caphosol is a supersaturated calcium phosphate rinse which is proven to both reduce the occurrence and decrease the severity of Oral Mucositis by moistening and lubricating the oral cavity.3 Caphosol is simple to use and is available in both dispersible tablet form and in a weekly pack containing vials to best suit differing patient needs.
