Clinical note: Comfeel® is generally aligned with wound protection, moisture balance, and low to moderate exudate management. For heavily exuding wounds, foam or more absorbent dressing systems may be more suitable.

When Comfeel® May Not Be Suitable
Hydrocolloid dressings are not appropriate for every wound. If wound fluid increases beyond the dressing’s capacity, the risk of leakage, dressing lifting, or peri-wound maceration may increase.
Review alternatives for:
- Heavily exuding wounds
- Deep cavity wounds requiring packing
- Wounds with uncontrolled fluid burden
- Situations where occlusive dressing use is not clinically appropriate
Comfeel® vs Foam Dressings
Comfeel® hydrocolloid dressings are generally used where wound protection, moisture balance, and lower exudate management are priorities. Foam dressings are usually preferred where stronger absorption, cushioning, and exudate control are required.
