Ethicon Plus Sutures are the only commercially available sutures with antibacterial protection. Coated VICRYL Plus Antibacterial (polyglactin 910) Suture is a sterile, synthetic, absorbable, surgical suture with a predictable absorption time consisting of 90% glycolide and 10% L-lactide. The suture is coated for effortless passage through tissue and easier knot tying. Because the suture is synthetic, the risk of an adverse tissue reaction is minimized.
