Aaxis® PuriFil™ Sodium Chloride Flush Syringes are designed for flushing indwelling vascular access devices at different drug treatment intervals. These prefilled syringes contain a sterile sodium chloride solution and are available in 3 mL, 5 mL, and 10 mL sizes.

• Flushing various types of vascular access devices and catheters, followed by assessment of catheter function and patency.
• Clearing the catheter lumen after medication administration.

Instructions for Use

1. Open the syringe package and remove the syringe. Inspect the solution for clarity and ensure the protective tip cap is in place.
2. With the protective tip cap still attached, push the plunger rod to release the seal between the piston/plunger and the barrel.
3. Aseptically remove the protective tip cap by twisting it off.
4. Expel any air by gently pushing the plunger forward.
5. Aseptically connect the flush syringe to the catheter and push the plunger to administer the required volume, in accordance with institutional policy.
6. Discard the used syringe and any remaining solution. DO NOT RE-USE.
