Askina® DresSil Active is a 5 layer silicone dressing designed to provide active exudate management. Designed to provide effective exudate management for chronic wounds. Askina® DresSil Active provides 41% higher absorption than other silicone dressings, which may help it stay in place longer and reduce the need for dressing changes — potentially saving nursing time and improving efficiency. Askina® DresSil Active can reduce pain and trauma during dressing changes thanks to its gentle adherence. It also leaves less residues, which can reduce the need for peri-wound skin cleansing. The superabsorbent diamond pattern is designed for flexibility and conformability, which can enhance comfort and promote patient compliance. Exudate level and color can be an indicator of wound bed conditions. The Active Exudate Monitoring System allows tracking of both level and color without removal of the dressing for inspection, thereby promoting undisturbed wound healing and cost savings. Active Exudate Monitoring: Dots spaced at cm intervals on the dressing enable accurate monitoring of exudate levels without disturbing the healing process.
