Komprex Binde foam rubber bandages by Lohmann & Rauscher are an excellent choice to provide amplified compression, help soften fibrosis and extra padding when used in phlebology and lymphology applications. Composed of a dense closed-cell, microporous material, Komprex Binde foam rubber bandages have a smooth velvety surface that can easily be cut as needed for accurate localized application. When applied as bandage rolls, the Komprex Binde should be applied in edge-to-edge spiral turns without overlap or stretching. When cut into individual shapes or sizes, the edges of the Komprex Binde foam rubber bandages should be beveled to avoid development of pressure sores.
Available in either rolls or sheets, Komprex Binde foam rubber bandages may be used in combination with other compression products such as Rosidal K short stretch bandages to provide increased localized pressure and help soften fibrosis. When used as part of a multi-layer compression bandage the Komprex Binde foam rubber bandages help provide additional padding for anatomical depressions and increases the pumping effect of the compression bandaging, resulting in amplified and deeper compression.
