A nutritionally complete liquid based on amino acids for use in conditions where there is severe impairment of the GI tract.
Features:
- 0.86kcal/ml.
- 2.5g protein equivalent per 100ml.
- Contains essential and non-essential amino acids, carbohydrate, fat, vitamins, minerals and trace elements.
- Available in Summer Fruits, Orange & Pineapple flavours.
Important Notice:
- Not suitable for use in infants under one year of age.
- Not suitable as a sole source of nutrition for children under 5 years of age.
- Not for parenteral use.
Indications:
Elemental 028 Extra Liquid can be used in children from one year of age as a supplement or as a sole source of nutrition in children from 5 years of age and adults for the dietary management of conditions where there is severe impairment of the gastrointestinal tract such as:
- Crohn’s disease.
- Short bowel syndrome.
- Intractable malabsorption.
- Bowel fistulae.
- Radiation enteritis.
Direction of Use:
- The quantity of feed should be determined by a clinician or dietitian only and is dependent on the age, bodyweight and medical condition of the patient.
- Elemental 028 Extra Liquid is best served as a chilled drink.
- Once opened, store in the refrigerator and use within 24 hours.
Storage:
- Store in a cool, dry place.

We heard of this product via a fellow vascular and duodenal compression sufferer, who also threw up every intake to some more or less extend daily for years.
This product has everything in it, no digestion needed to have peace of mind that in certain flares or circumstances like surgery one still gets the most out of the few spoons full that stay down.
We like the taste chilled better.
It's easy to take along when complex home cooking is impossible, too.
I can imagine this being also good backup nutrition during GI infections or its recovery.
Very happy this exists and for us in a very challenging anatomical situation the peace of mind when days are worse and tube feeding or PN (parenteral nutrition) tried to be avoided and can still be avoided together with other nutritional food.
We personally do not use this alone or daily.
It's an addition.
More often drank depending on situation like travel/surgery or flare of symptoms.
It's quite costly, so we do use it per need.

When keeping food down becomes a problem, Elemental028 is our peace of mind as a dietary supplement for covering nutrition, that doesn't have to be digested first.
The taste is ok compared to other pure amino acid powders we tried (and couldn't stand the taste)
