Suprasorb® Liquacel Ag Wound Dressing with Antimicrobial Silver and Strengthening Cellulose Fibre for treating superficial or deep wounds with moderate to high levels of exudate.

Suprasorb Liquacel Ag offers excellent absorption while maintaining a stable structure thanks to its blend of sodium carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC) fibres and Lyocell fibres.

Not only is the unique silver nanotechnology effective against biofilm and a broad spectrum of pathogens such as MRSA but it also has a low cytotoxicity profile.

The CMC fibres promote efficient exudate management and help with autolytic debridement. Its stable structure prevents it from shrinking after the gel forms so the dressing can be removed in one piece.

Fields of application:

For treating superficial or deep wounds with moderate to high levels of exudate.

Indications:

• second-degree burns
• lower leg ulcers, pressure ulcers and diabetic ulcers
• surgical wounds
• wounds which are prone to bleeding

Wound healing stages:

• Exudation phase
• Granulation phase

Properties:

• Contains nanosilver technology, which destroys biofilm.
• Effective against a broad spectrum of pathogens, including MRSA.
• Low cytotoxicity thanks to the continuous release of silver ions.
• Even when the dressing is moist its structure remains intact, and can be removed in one piece.
• Effective exudate management due to high vertical absorption and which protects the wound edges from maceration.
• Support of autolytic debridement and trapping bacteria and cell debris in the dressing.

To Note:

• Can be cut to size if required.
• Can be retained with a suitable secondary dressing, e.g. Suprasorb P sensitive, depending on the level of exudate.
• Can be used under compression.
• The interval between changes should be no more than 7 days.
