I wore this product for over 6 weeks, the duration of 30 sessions of radiotherapy for stage 2 breast cancer, following wide local excisions of 2 small lumps. I changed the Mepitel 3 times over that period and I used 2 sheets each time. One full sheet and another cut in half, to extend the top to cover the upper part of my chest, and the side to cover the area beside my breast. We (my partner helped me apply the film) made 'darts', as one does in dressmaking, in the large sheet as we applied it to the bulk of my breast so as to shape it to my breast and we cut the 'dart excess' back to skin level. This worked very well.I have minimal skin inflammation after 30 radiation sessions: some across the top right side of my chest, above my breast (which was covered by the Mepitel) some in my axilla (not covered by the Mepitel) and a little in the crease under my breast (which was not covered by the Mepitel initially, but which we covered after the inflammation began to appear). Mepitel is an excellent product. I highly recommend it.
