Smith & Nephew Allevyn Gentle Border Multisite Dressing is designed with the unique triple-layer technology for managing fluid delivery. This foam dressing is capable of optimally absorbing, retaining and transferring the balance of fluid, and consequently keeps the wound environment moist and enhances the healing procedure. It has a three-lobe shape suiting the awkward areas of your body. Allevyn Gentle Border Multisite is easy to use, waterproof and bacteria proof. It also reduces the risk of maceration and the risk of infection and has excellent extensibility, flexibility, comfortability and conformability. Allevyn Gentle Border Multisite Dressing can be used on:

• Shallow wounds
• Granulating wounds
• Chronic and acute exuding wounds
• Fully and partially thick wounds
• Pressure ulcers
• Diabetic foot ulcers
• Leg ulcers
• Fungating wounds
• Infected wounds
• Malignant wounds
• Surgical wounds
• Donor sites
• First and second degree burns

Instructions For Use

1. Cleanse your wound based on normal procedures
2. Choose the suitable dressing size for you
3. Prepare the surrounding area of your wound by cleaning it and removing excess moisture. Also, clip any excess hair to ensure close approximation to the wound. 
4. Remove the protector material from the dressing and anchor the adhesive side of it to your skin
5. Ensure the dressing is adhered all around your wound by smoothing the dressing over the wound and removing the remaining protector material
6. Allevyn gentle Border can be cut based on aseptic technique. Ensure any exposed foam areas are covered with an appropriate film dressing taking care not to cover the entire dressing

Note: You should inspect Allevyn Gentle Border dressing during the early stages of wound management. If the dressing is used on infected wounds, you should inspect and treat it as per local clinical protocol. Allevyn Gentle Border can remain in place for up to seven days depending on the surrounding skin, the wound condition or until exudate is visible and approaches the edge of the dressing pad within 0.5cm.
